The short version: Mix Stream doesn't collect your personal data, doesn't send audio or information to the cloud, and has no user accounts.

What Mix Stream does

Mix Stream captures system audio from your Mac and streams it to your iPhone over your local Wi-Fi network. All audio data travels directly between your devices — it never leaves your network and is never sent to any server.

Data we collect

None. Mix Stream does not collect, store, or transmit personal information. There are no user accounts, no sign-ins, and no analytics or tracking of any kind built into the app.

Data stored on your device

Mix Stream stores a list of trusted devices locally on your iPhone using standard iOS storage. This list contains device names you have approved to receive audio. It never leaves your device.

Local network

Mix Stream uses your local Wi-Fi network to discover and communicate with your devices via Bonjour. It requires local network access on both your Mac and iPhone. No network traffic is routed through the internet.

Apple and the App Store

Mix Stream is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple may collect certain usage and crash data according to their own privacy policy. We do not receive personally identifiable information from Apple.

macOS system audio

On macOS, Mix Stream captures system audio using native Apple frameworks. It does not record, store, or transmit audio beyond your local network session. Audio is not saved to disk at any point.
